This diptych was painted over the lockdown period when I was focusing on my inner landscape.

I wanted to convey a sense of fragility that was also a tower of strength , much like a couple of people very close to me. The weight is on the top, like a veiled vessel, held up by the frail stems yet with a solid base at its core.

The use of silver leaf was deliberate as I wanted these two solitary figures to stand side by side and shine. I was very drawn to using using a calming pink here that exudes a radiance to the stand alone vessels.

Whilst these two canvases were painted together, they are also very individual and so I’d be happy to sell them individually too. If this interests you then please contact me and let’s see if we can make that happen.
