This painting came about after a self imposed residency on the Isle of Portland in Dorset.

It was the middle of May and the weather was incredible for my whole stay there. So no moody skies here but fresh, luscious forms and colour. I took only my sketchbook and watercolours with me which influenced my paintngs on canvas back in the studio.
